Leopard Nails

Hey Lovelies! For this look I used 2 coats of Brooch the Subject by Essie. Then I went in with You Don't Know Jacques! SUEDE by OPI and Wet n' Wild Black Creme for the leopard prints. I sealed in this look with my trusty Seche Vite to make sure it stayed nice and crisp! I love leopard print so much and can't believe how great these turned out since I free handed the design! Hope you love this look as much as I do!

Nail Stamping Plate Comparison

Hey Lovelies! The most frequently asked questions about my stamping plates are which set is the best or which set covers your entire thumb nail the best? I decided I would do a swamping (swatch stamping) for you so you could see a plate from each company, so I gathered up one plate from all three sets that I own and got to it. I'm using MASH plate 72 (M72), Bundle Monster plate 20 (BM20) and Bundle Monster plate 210 (BM-210).

When it's all said and done I feel that the new BM plates and the M.A.S.H plates get greater coverage on my nails. The older BM plates were way too small for my nails which is very disappointing to me because they have super cute designs on them. However I did learn that on some of the images from that collection you can turn sideways and just apply them twice, side by side and it still looks good.

Which set is the best? In my opinion I would say the MASH image plates because I like their images the best and I feel I get the best coverage with them.

Which set covers the thumb nail the best? As you can see in the photos I would say the MASH and new BM plates. In my opinion I would say the MASH plates have better coverage for my nails but both plate sets are amazing!

Where can I buy the stamp set? I got all of my sets off of Amazon.com. Here are some links to the sets. I am so sorry I can not find a link to the M.A.S.H set that I own but I found a link to another set they have.

Featured Friday

Hey Lovelies! Today's Featured Friday is a super cute one from my friends daughter Madalin and her father. Her father used cute little heart stickers on her nails and then put a clear top coat over them to make sure they stayed on. You can these and other nail decals at your local Walgreen's, Rite Aid, Target or Walmart in their nail aisle.

Aren't they cute!!

So pretty!

Thank you so much for sending this in Madalin! You and your father did a wonderful job!

Husband's Choice

Hey Lovelies! Instead of a Pink Wednesday today I'm bringing you my husband's choice! What is my husband's choice you ask? It's where I let my husband Nathan rummage through all my polishes and stamps and I let him choose what I wear! Dangerous right?!?! Well let's  kick it off with my husband's choice for today.

I used 2 coats of Wet n' Wild's I Need a Refresh-Mint followed by one coat of Funky Fingers Stage Dive. Let me just say for the record.... MY HUSBAND ROCKS! I am LOVING this mani that he picked out! I guess he really does listen to me when I babble on about polishes because he picked two of my loves, the color mint and sparkles! What do you guys think? Did he do good?

Spring Time Butterflies

Hey Lovelies! Even though it's only 40 degrees out today the sun is shining and the birds are chirping (probably because they are freezing their buns off! ). None the less it looks like Spring outside so I wanted to do a simple Spring or even Easter look today! For this look I used 2 coats of Essie's Bangle Jangle and I let that dry completely. Then I went in with Wet n' Wild's French White Creme and stamped the double butterfly image from image plate BM05 and sealed in this look with my Seche Vite top coat. Isn't this just lovely?!?! I am loving this creamy lilac purple color for Spring! Hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Purple, Black and Rhinestone Reverse Manicure

Hey guys! I just got my new set of Bundle Monster Rhinestones in the mail so I wanted to try them out! For this look I used 1 coat of Wet N' Wild Black Creme as my base color and then went a bit more then half way up the nail with 2 Coats of Wet N' Wild On a Trip from the Megalast Collection. I applied a thin coat of Seche Vite on top and quickly applied the Bundle Monster Rhinestones in the color clear. These pictures make the rhinestones look huge but in real life they were the perfect size and gave this look an awesome bit of flare! I hope you enjoyed this beautiful look! If you have any suggestions or a request on a nail look you would like for me to try out feel free to e-mail me at mixedmama1031@gmail.com I would love to hear what you guys are thinking!

Manicurist Of Seville

Hey guys! For this look I used 2 coats of OPI Manicurist Of Seville and then I went in with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in the color Whit On and used Image Plate M80. I thought this would be a great look if you have an office job and they allow you to wear red polishes. This look is very simple, elegant and great for any occasion! Hope you enjoyed this look!

Featured Friday

Hey guys! I have a 2 for 1 Featured Friday look sent in by my subscriber Denise Crum! Lets see what she has in store for us on this lovely Friday afternoon!

Denise wanted a bright sunny polish so she used 3 coats of Sally Hansen INSTA-DRI in #250 Lightening and when that was dry she applied 1 thin coat of Sally Hansen Crackle overcoat in #03 Fractures Foil. To seal in this look she used a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength top coat.

Denise  used 1 coat of Hot Topic Blacklight green and on her ring finger she used 1 coat of Sally Hansen INSTA-DRI in Lightning and 2 coats of Revlon sent polish in Orange Fizz. She topped the look off with a coat of Sally Hansen Crackle in Fractured Foil and sealed in the look with a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength top coat.

Thank you so much Denise for sharing these two awesome crackled looks with us! I am loving that color Lightening! Remember If you would like to be featured on my blog send me an email at mixedmama1031@gmail.com with a few pictures and a description of what you did and what you used. Have a wonderful day!

Metallica Butterflies

Hey guys! For this cute spring look I used 2 coats of Wet N' Wild Metallica and then went in and stamped with Wet N' Wild Lavender Creme and used image plate BM09. I love how metallic silver this color is but the only thing I didn't like was how streaky the polish was. What is your favorite metallic silver polish? Hope you enjoyed!

No Heat Challenge 3rd Month Update

Hey guys! I have survived another month without any heat on my hair! Yay!! The only thing that I changed this month was I only washed my hair with shampoo one time instead of my usual once every two weeks. That was a huge fail. My hair had so much build up and was so itchy it was unbearable! I decided that I'm going to go back to shampooing once every other week for next month and maybe once a week once summer hits since I get more dirty with being outside. I decided to up my intake of Biotin from 1,000 mcg to 2,000 mcg. It was going good for the first few weeks and then I started to feel really sick when I took them. I don't know if I didn't have enough food in my stomach when I was taking them or what so for the next month I am going to stop taking them and see how it goes. Other then the Shampooing and upping my intake of Biotin I really didn't switch anything up this month. If you didn't catch last months update go check it out HERE. If you want to start from the beginning then start with month one HERE

What I did differently this month:
1. Only shampooed my hair once during the month.
2. Upped my intake of Biotin from 1,000 mcg to 2,000 mcg.
