DIY: Batman T-Shirt Reconstruction

Hey lovelies! So I went through my closet the other day to get rid of some old clothes and I got the awesome idea to try and reconstruct an old T-shirt. I love the way this shirt fits me and I love Batman but I hate the neck on it! I feel like I'm suffocating in it so I knew this was the perfect shirt to start off with! Here is a cute way to turn a T-shirt into a tank top.

(Front View)

(Side View)

I started with cutting the sleeves off and about 3 inches of the neck off as my starter. I then tried it on and realized that I wanted the neck of the shirt to come down lower and to keep the arm holes just how they are. I then cut another 2 inches off of both sides of the neck and scooped the hole lower. It was just a bunch of cutting and trying it on and cutting some more until it was the length I wanted.

(Finished Front View) Please excuse the no makeup!

(Finished Side View)

(Finished Back View)

I am in love with this tank top and I can't wait to rip apart some more! I hope you all enjoyed this DIY tutorial. If you try this Id love to see how it turned out!

Relaxed Herringbone Nails

Hey lovelies! Today's look is a beautiful mix between a Herringbone and Chevron print. For this look I did one coat of Sally Hansen's INSTA-DRI in Mint Sprint and then went in with Wet n' Wild's Black Creme and stamped MASH Plate M78. Check out my YouTube video to see how I stamped this look CLICK HERE!

For the past few weeks I have been staring at this plate and trying to think of color combinations I could do but nothing was tickling my fancy! As soon as I put on Mint Sprint I knew I had to use that design! I'm so happy I did because I am in love with the nails! With this combo it makes me feel more alternative but If you were to do a nude nail with the design in white it's more girly! Hope you all enjoyed this look! Don't forget to go check out my giveaway that's going on till the May 4th. CLICK HERE to enter! Have a wonderful Saturday!

What's Up?

Hey Lovelies! So I saw that my mom had done this cute "tag" like post on her blog tonight, so I thought I would try it and see what you all thought! I figured that this is a great way for you all to learn more about me! I am going to tag anyone who wants to do this! Hope you enjoy!

Listening to Nathan talk to his co-worker on Xbox live and listening to Christina Perri's Jar of Broken Hearts and feeling like I want to belt out the lyrics however it's 11pm and my daughter is sleeping next to me.

Hoping Nathan builds me a custom nail polish rack for my birthday! **HINT, HINT** :) My desk is getting ridiculous with all the polish and supplies all over it.

Feeling very proud of myself for my Tropical Sunset Nails! So I'm going to toot my horn a bit on that one. **TOOT TOOT TOOT**

Seeing my beautiful little girl sleeping in her big girl bed and my wonderful husband doing what he does best.... Killing Zombies!

Noticing what wonderful subscribers I have! You all have been so kind, caring, and encouraging to me through this journey. I just want you all to know how much I appreciate each and everyone of you!

Wondering if I will ever have enough courage to get in front of a camera and start filming tutorials and stuff for you all. I really think it will be a great asset to my blog but i'm a giant chicken and start to have a panic attack!

Dreaming of the day that Nathan and I can finally buy a house and have another baby!

Loving being a blogger! I feel like I can be myself with you all and say corny things and you wont judge me! HAHA :)

Thinking that garage sale season needs to start ASAP because I really need some new clothes that fit me and I need to stock up on Olivia's clothes for next year!

Promising to start buying polishes that are at least "3 FREE"!

Making Olivia summer dresses out of pillow cases! She is going to look so stinking cute this summer :)

Anticipating our Vacation this summer! I can't wait to be on the beach and see my grandmother down in Florida! She hasn't seen Olivia since her first birthday on Halloween!

Feeling very very sleepy! it's almost midnight and Olivia's lullaby music is putting me to sleep while I'm typing!

Changing my eating habits! I drink way too much pop so i'm going to try and cut that out and drink more water. :)

Tropical Sunset Nails

Hey Lovelies! Since its been chilly up where I live for the past few days I need a warm mani to make me feel better! As I was searching the web looking at warm weathered pictures I stumbled upon this beautiful sunset picture.

I bet your feeling the warmth too right now ;)

For this gradient sunset look I started off with Sally Hansen's Mellow Yellow and applied one very thin coat to all my nails and then let it dry. I then applied Sally Hansen's Mellow Yellow, Pure Ice's Hot Tamale and Wet n' Wild's Lavender Creme to my make-up applicator and started to apply it to my nails in a dabbing motion. Once that was dry I repeated the process two more times waiting for each layer to dry in between. I then went in with MASH plate 28 and took the top half of the palm tree and stamped it with Wet n' Wild's Black creme onto my ring finger. Finally I sealed in my beautiful sunset design with my Seche Vite top coat. Check out my tutorial on how I achieved this look HERE.

Autism Awareness Nails

Hey Lovelies! Today's look is in honor of every person in the world who is or will be diagnosed with Autism. Just in case you are not aware of what Autism is here is a quick paragraph about it from http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/info/autism/

Autism is known as a complex developmental disability. Experts believe that Autism presents itself during the first three years of a person's life. The condition is the result of a neurological disorder that has an effect on normal brain function, affecting development of the person's communication and social interaction skills.
People with autism have issues with non-verbal communication, a wide range of social interactions, and activities that include an element of play and/or banter.

To honor everyone with Autism I did my first ever gradient nail!! YAY!!! For this look I used Sinful Colors Midnight Blue, Sally Hansen INSTA-DRI in Blue-Away and Blue Streak. I used the same method that Laynie from Layniefingers uses. Check her page out HERE and the tutorial for this look HERE. This look is super simple to do and tons of fun! Hope you enjoyed this and remember to spread the love and paint your nails blue for the month of April to support Autism!

Lights.... Camera.... ACTION!!!

Hey lovelies! After several failed attempts at some nail art last night I just decided to slap on a coat of this gorgeous chunky glitter and go play MW3 with my husband and friend. For this look I did one coat of Wet n' Wild's I Red A Good Book and two coats of Funky Fingers Stage Dive. This is such a beautiful combo with the vibrant red and then the chunky silver glitter on top, it makes me think of the red carpet and the flashing camera lights. I have gotten so many compliments on this look today and not to mention they look great with my leopard print and red shoes i'm wearing today! I hope you all enjoy this nail look and don't forget to enter my nail art contest that is ending this Friday April 20th at 5pm EST. To enter click HERE.

No Heat Challenge 4th Month Update

Hey Lovelies! Ahhhh another month is under my belt and it feels good! I stopped taking Biotin this month because it was making me so sick that I would have to just go and take a nap and wait for it to leave my system (which was horrible since I have a little girl who wants to play all day and needs my attention). I went to deep conditioning my hair every other week instead of every week and that was a bad idea! My hair was so thirsty that when I finally deep conditioned it I had a huge amount of shrinkage! So needless to say I will be going back to deep conditioning my hair every Saturday night and leave it in over night. I see a huge difference in the length of my hair when it's soaking wet. I can tell it's growing a lot! Other then stopping the Biotin and deep conditioning every other week nothing else has changed. If you didn't catch last months update go check it out HERE. If you want to start from the beginning of my challenge click HERE.

What I did differently this month:
1. Stopped taking Biotin.
2. Deep conditioned my hair every other week.

Strawberries Anyone?

Hey Lovelies! I love strawberries so much that when I saw this pin on Pintrest the other night I just had to try and recreate it! This is such a cute and super simple design to do if you want to jazz up that plain manicure this summer or if you just love strawberries like me! First I started out with two coats of Pink Bunny by Jordana as my base color. Next I took my large dotting tool and made different sized upside down triangles on the outside corners of every nail with Wet n' Wilds I Red A Good Book. Once that was completely dry I took my smallest dotting tool and made little swipe marks in the red triangles with Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in Mellow Yellow. Finally with the same small dotting tool I made one line across the bottom of the triangle and then two smaller curved lines coming off the top of that line in Fresh Paint's Spruce Street. To finish off the look I sealed it in with my handy dandy Seche Vite top coat.

Here is a little tutorial I put together so you can achieve this look at home!

Hope you enjoyed this yummy look! Don't forget to enter my nail art contest that is going on till April 20th! Click HERE to enter. If you try this sweet look out feel free to post a picture on my Facebook page HERE. I would love to see how they turned out! Have a delicious Saturday!
